The objective

What you leave with

No belts. No certificates. You leave with a trained response that fires before conscious thought catches up, and a mind that has already worked under stress once, in a controlled environment where it was safe to.

Most people who come to me are not trying to become fighters. They are trying to stop feeling that something could happen and they would have no answer. That is not solved by learning fifty techniques. It is solved by learning a handful well enough that they hold under fear, fatigue, and surprise — the only conditions under which you will ever need them.

So we train in those conditions. Close, off balance, from poor positions, from a seat, from the ground, with your hands full and a child on your hip. That is where it happens. A skill that only works from a clean stance in a quiet room is not a skill.

Who this is for

Who trains here

I have instructed parents and tactical teams in the same week. The fundamentals do not change. Only the pace and the language do.

Parents who want their kids prepared

Not to fight — to notice, to speak up, to get away, and to know that their body belongs to them. Age-appropriate from five years old, and never frightening.

The kid leaving for college

A dorm, a party, a parking garage, a roommate's friend you don't know. Focused, unsentimental, and taught in the small window you have before they go.

Women who are done feeling like a target

You do not need to be athletic, young, or aggressive. You need leverage, timing, willingness, and a small number of techniques that hold up against greater size and strength. That is teachable.

Anyone rebuilding after something happened

Trauma changes what training needs to look like. We go at your pace, you keep control of the room, and nothing happens to you that you did not agree to first.

Strong people who have never been tested

Size and durability are not the same thing. If you have always assumed you would handle it, this is the safest available place to find out what is actually there.

Professionals who carry the responsibility

Officers, security teams, and protective details who need control, retention, and decision-making under load — not choreography.

Method

How I train

The foundation is Krav Maga — the system developed for the Israeli Defense Forces and still in use by them. It earned that position by being the least romantic martial art in existence. No forms. No belts. No tournaments. No equipment you must buy before you are permitted to begin. It exists to get an ordinary person home.

I do not teach a style, and I have no interest in you becoming a Krav Maga practitioner. Those principles are the floor. On top of them I bring firearms work, weapons defense, medical response, and years of instructing people whose lives depended on getting it right. What you are taught is drawn from whichever of those solves your problem.

Every session is built on three questions. What is most likely to happen to you? What could you execute under real stress? What is the simplest thing that works? A technique that cannot survive those three questions does not get your time.

You will not be humiliated in my sessions. There is a type of instructor who establishes authority by demonstrating how helpless you are. That is the opposite of the job. You should leave every session more capable than you arrived, and aware of it.

Tell me who the training is for and what concerns you. I will tell you where I would start — and if I am not the right fit, I will say so.
